Room 24 highlights!

Room 24 highlights
So nervous what class would I be in, who would be my teacher? There was my thought there with butterflies in my tummy. Just then I heard my name being called I wondered who was calling my name so I heard the voice and it was… Mrs Karan! When I stepped in to a beautiful colourful KINGDOM! I knew a new crazy year is going to begin.
Mrs Karan talked about the “DREAM TEAM” She said it was a high achievement class where only high standard people can go. I walked past
The other classes and the four classes were coloured as the hat colours that is so cool I said to myself.
But in a blink of an eye it was term four how quick was you say. It has been a great year learning new things about people I didn’t know.
I am really happy of myself for being who I am and being in the dream team this year is going to be a remembrance year 2012 room 24.
My BIG inspiration would be my mum dad and nana because they said nothing is easy in life if you try! They also have been a great example to me and my siblings. My teacher for two years and told me the basics in life. Also Mrs Karan who has been I am THANK YOU!
It’s been a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious year.

Highlights of 2012

Highlights of 2012

What an amazing year this was. It was such a roller-coaster ride, here are some of the most spectacular parts of the year. I was anxious on the first day of school. I had butterflies fluttering im my stomach. My heart was pounding as loud as a drum. BOOM!BOOM!BOOM! Then… I got picked! To my surprise, my teacher was Mrs Karan.
A few hours later…
Yay! We are a part of a very special team called “The Dream Team,” it is a place for high achieving learners. Our first trip of the year was to see the fantabulous Dr Ben Carson, the famous neuro-surgeon. He inspired me to believe that I could do anything if I try.
One of my favourite parts of the whole year was Margaret Mahy day. It was an extravagant, mayhem filled day!!Another one of my favourite parts of the year was doing “I Wonder Projects.” While presenting my first I wonder project, I was shaking with nervousness but I got through it.
One of the funniest parts of the year was when Memory our former classmate made jokes about everything, she was the class clown.Even though we had some up’s and down’s, it was still an amazing year.

Inspirational Talk

Inspirational Talk by… Dr. Ben Carson
“Hooray! First day of school and I wonder who’s my new teacher is ...‘Mrs Karan. Yay! ”Yelled Caela. First day of school was like in a cave filled with bears.
As I marched towards the silly, strange classroom I was afraid and my heart was pounding like drums. ‘The class is really beautiful and it is as big as a humongous tree . “Mrs Karan” said Flowenna.
So our first trip was going to Dr Ben Carson’s talk. Then everyone started to jump around.
I can’t believe that he actually SPLIT twins HEAD and it was really shocking. But the good thing is that they’re still alive.
The most important thing that Dr. Ben Carson told me was to … THINK BIG and it stands for:
T- Talented                     B-Books
H-Honesty                      I- Intellectual
I-Information                     G-GOD
N-Nice
K-Knowledge
And that was an inspirational talk I ever heard.

Highlights of 2012.

Highlights…

Butterflies were fluttering in and out of my stomach. After a long wait my name was called out. It’s a bit confusing. Walking towards a new classroom, I knew this was surely going to be a jubilant journey.

What’s this on the board?” questioned a boy next to me. Reversibility? What does that mean?” I don’t know but it looks harder than speaking new language.” I exclaimed, “No way am I doing that!”

A couple weeks later…

Dream Team. Is this another one of those hard things like reversibility? Or is it a class were high expectations and high achievements are formed? Imp a happy sprinkle getting popped on to a chocolate sundae. I knew confidently that I came here to believe and achieve. Strive and persist, and FOCUS. It’s just blowing my mind!

It’s like were flying to the moon. Not so long ago we made it to our destination. Yes! Were back to school! Ha-ha. Jokes were back to old school. Girls simply have to be separated from boys! Mini chalkboards? I’m so lucky I wasn’t here in the olden days.

My journey this year will be coming to an end. It’s been such a great opportunity to be in the Dream Team. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, but there’s still so much to learn.  I was climbing a mountain with Sir. Edmund Hillary. Looking back I know I have improved and I’m so delighted to be in such a class like this, therefore this has been an accomplishing, benevolent, courteous, decent, extravagant, flamboyant, glorious, heavenly, impeccable, joyous, knowledgeable, light- hearted and miraculous never-ending year! Intermediate here I come!

My journey in the dream team.

My journey in the ‘’Dream Team’’.

I have got butterflies in tummy and I am sitting and wondering where am I going then Mrs Karan called my name ‘’Ofa’’ and someone else  I did not know where I was going then she said something about the ‘’Dream Team’’. At first I thought that it was a place for people who dream a lot then Mrs Karan told us the real meaning it is for people who have standards and are achievers.

Now it comes Technology in terms  Mrs Karan says we are entering a competition on I love learning but Miss we are in love with learning it was like holding a piece of candy in my hand but better then candy now it is time to get my thinking hat on what should I oh! I know why don’t we make a movie maker that is a good so then we started Yay.

Then came term 3 yippee we are going to MOTAT Wow! Tactile dome Ahh! But it was actually fun! I should think what I wonder project I should do doing I know I should do it on American presidents time to present phew! Glad I finished that.

Now comes our last term we would be doing our inquiry on happiness we made songs plays and many more things now comes my inspiration tonnes of people inspired me but I would have to pick the most important ones and the people who has lead me to a good path and it is my parents and my wonderful teacher Mrs Karan. They have lead me to a good path and I would like to thank my amazing teacher as many times because she has taught me tonnes of different things and I wouldn’t be standing here if it wasn’t for her.

Highlights of this year

          Highlights of this year!!

My journey started when I was waiting to hear what class I was in. Butterflies ran into my mouth and down the stairs that lead them to my stomach. Then they said that I was in room 24 and my teacher for this year was… Mrs Karan! I was super excited. I then whispered to myself ``this is going to be so cool like a roller-coaster ride at rainbows end.” But then I heard the word Dream team. `` What is dream team?” I questioned myself. Finally I found my answer. The dream team is a group of classes’ room 22, 23, 24 and 25. These four classes have students that are high ability readers. Teachers have high expectations and standards for them. I am so grateful to be a part of this team.

We then went on an inspirational trip. We went to see Dr Ben Carson. But one thing that I really got out of it was think big. It stands for Talent, Honesty, Information, Nice, Knowledge, Books, Intellectual and God.

Next came term two and I was ready to learn something new. As days flew by Mrs Karan told us that she entered us in a competition called I love learning and of course we all love learning. We then got straight to work. After a few days we finally sent our posters and our video. We all had our fingers crossed. We then heard the news that one of our posters were in the finals. We were so excited it was like we won the lotto.

When term three came I was wondering if we were going to do something cool like the last two terms but then we heard terrible news… Margaret Mahy had passed away. So we decided to do some thing to honour her. After days of thinking what to do we finally decided to do a play. Every break time we practise until it was perfect. When the day came we were ready.

And now it is the last term and we are preparing a show. Its on our journey this year. this year has been amazing and as I said from the beginning it was going to be so fun like a roller-coaster ride! ``I cant wait until next year!!’’

My Wonderful Year in Room 24

Our journey all started in room 24. Our teachers name is Mrs Karan, and it didn’t surprise me, but straight away I knew this year will be the best. Mrs Karan called us to the mat and told us we were in the Dream Team. I was amazed.

The best highlight for me in Term One is meeting “Dr Ben Carson” at Telstra Clear. He is inspirational. He inspired me to think big and never give up.
Being in the Dream Team was one of my biggest highlight. It was different. We travelled extra miles to make our learning the best and to make ourselves and our parents “PROUD”. It was extra work. We had to put our heart and soul into our work to make it better and make our teachers happy. It was a stressful term, but the hard work was worth it.
Term two finally arrived. I got to meet a lot of famous authors. They said to never Give Up Reading. It was as amazing like riding a dolphin, but much better. ”Success” was our inquiry topic. I think that was the best Inquiry topic ever. We all got to learn about some Heroes and Heroines that changed people’s lives.
Term Three was the biggest, busiest yet greatest term ever. We had speeches, we visited M.O.T.A.T. The one that stood out the most was Magaret Mahy Day. M.M.D was a big day because it brought our class together to work as a team.

Term four is a special term because we are planning a play to show case in our Dream Team Prize Giving. It will be amazing.
I loved this year. I had an awesome teacher, made new friends; I also gained more knowledge than ever before. Suddenly, I realize we are almost at the end of the year. I wish this year will never end.

Thank you.
